I am a Dublin-based photographer and graduate of the BA Photography and Visual Media programme at IADT. My practice is centred on sport, exploring it not only as a competition or spectacle, but as a space for identity, community, emotion, and human connection.
Growing up as both an athlete and photographer, sport has always been a significant part of my life. Throughout my studies, I found myself repeatedly returning to it as a subject, eventually realising that it sits at the heart of my creative practice. This understanding has shaped the direction of my work, allowing me to combine my interests in photography, visual storytelling, performance, and culture.
Working across documentary, portraiture, and sports photography, I am interested in creating images that move beyond traditional action-driven representations of sport. Instead, I focus on the quieter moments that exist around competition: expressions of resilience, moments of reflection, relationships between teammates, and the emotional realities that often go unseen.
My recent projects, 'Delicate Force' and 'An Cluiche', explore these ideas through long-form photographic work, examining women’s experiences in sport and the intimacy that exists within Irish sporting culture. Through these projects, I have become increasingly interested in photobooks, sequencing, and extended visual narratives as ways of engaging audiences with sport in new and meaningful ways.
As I continue to develop my practice, I am excited by the possibility of exploring sporting cultures both in Ireland and internationally.
